Falls Creek and Hotham resort entry is not an Alpine NP park fee
Alpine National Park itself currently has no Parks Victoria vehicle day-entry fee — check the live park page. Resort vehicle permits in declared snow season are a separate system. Do not mix them.

Some stay, tour and gear links may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Park fees and Parks Victoria bookings are never affiliated.

Google suggestions for this park include “pass” and “entry fee.” Those queries mix resort winter permits, Kosciuszko-style NSW passes, and Parks Victoria camping. This article splits them so you do not pay the wrong person.
Do not mix the tills
Park camping: mostly free dispersed or free designated camps; Falls to Hotham platforms are the paid, booked exception. Horse yards bookable in peak season at selected sites (Pretty Valley, Langford West, etc.).
Walk permits: none general. Only the crossing platforms need a booking. Official buttons always before money on this site.
Declared snow season: Falls Creek and Mt Hotham vehicle entry is an Alpine Resorts Victoria permit, not a Parks Victoria park fee. 2026 day-permit figures have been published around $69 per day — VERIFY on the resort booking site before you drive. Chains and resort rules still apply.
