This website is an independent, unofficial guide published for general information and trip planning. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representative of Parks Victoria, the Victorian Government, Visit Victoria, Falls Creek or Mount Hotham resort management, or any other government agency or commercial operator unless explicitly stated.

Outdoor recreation in the Victorian high country involves real risk: alpine weather, snow and ice in any month, remote walking, limited or no mobile coverage, seasonal road closures, and fire bans. You are responsible for your decisions, fitness, navigation, weather assessment and compliance with park and (where relevant) alpine resort rules. Always verify track status, fees, fire bans and safety information on official Parks Victoria resources.

This site is not professional, legal, medical or emergency advice. Dated snapshots of official alerts, fees or hours go stale. Always verify on live Parks Victoria pages before you travel. Falls Creek and Mount Hotham resort vehicle permits in declared snow season are commercial resort products — not a Parks Victoria park-entry fee.

Content is provided “as is” without warranties of accuracy or completeness. Images & photo credits

Primary photographs on this site are real images from Wikimedia Commons, used under their stated Creative Commons licences (or public domain, where marked). Author, licence and source file are listed below and are also shown in image captions where practical. They are not official Parks Victoria photographs and may not show exact current conditions, track access or facilities. Always rely on Parks Victoria and on-site information for the real place. Occasional diagrams or UI graphics (if any) are separate from place photos.

Licence short names are as recorded on Commons (e.g. CC BY-SA 4.0). For full licence text, follow each file link (or the licence short-name link in the table). We adapt images for web display (resize/compress); attribution still applies. Open Graph / social share image og-default.jpg is the same Feathertop photograph as the site hero.

Stay-page card photos are place-context only — they do not depict specific hotels listed on Booking.com.
